Hair

Why is my hair thinning.

Why is my hair thinning?
There is a difference between thinning and balding
hair.
Thinning hair shows itself in two ways; Less hair all over the head and or, the texture of hair changing into a finner texture making a strand of hair thinner.
Of the two reasons having less hair is the most usual.
After giving birth sometimes the hair falls out however, usually within a year post delivery your hair will have grown.

Medication can also be a culprit for thinning hair especially when the
medication is treating something hormonal. Birth control qualifies
here and sometimes will affect the density and or texture of hair.

Stress, especially after a trauma in ones life like death , divorce,
changing jobs or getting fired will affect the hormones. Hormonal
changes will affect hair texture and density. Stress is relative so
it is different for everyone. Some people don't even know when they
are stressed.

Too much shampooing , blow drying, coloring, perming, straightening or
compulsive behavior like twirling or pulling of hair can affect the
texture and or the amount of hair.
