Oily Hair Care

Oily hair.
Oily hair means that ones scalp produces too much oil. This is usually a problem for fine hair because it cant absorb much oil it accumulates on the scalp and hair making it look greasy and dirty.
Washing oily hair too much can cause a problem because when the scalp feels dry after a shampoo it naturally will produce more oil and making it oily very quick again. Best way to deal with an oily scalp is to slowly start to wash it less frequently so that the scalp will start to produce less oil. This takes discipline as it is natural to want to shampoo ones hair when it feels oily. To start to wash ones hair less is easier if one doubles the time in between shampoos for example if one shampoos every day start by shampooing every other day for a couple of months until that feels natural and than add one more day in between shampoos.
There are products that are specifically formulated for oily hair like shampoo and styling products.
Conditioner is really not a good idea to use as oily hair basically is over conditioned with ones natural oil.
Oily hair tends to feel and look flat so a good root lifter as a styling product is a good choice. Stay away from wax products and heavy gels but a spray gel that is light can work well. A spray for oily hair must also be a very fine mist and spray from at least 15 inches away from the hair letting it just simple fall lightly on the hair
