Alopecia a Hairdresser's view

I became a hairdresser  30 years ago and at that time I  studied Alopecia in school. I remember the subject well because it was something that sounded absolutely horrible and I never forgot it. It took about 20 years for me to come in contact with anyone who was affected by it last but the 10 years I have seen quite a few cases of Alopecia happen with clients.
The first person I saw it in was a client who was a friend of a good friend of mine and I knew a little about his life style. He was under a lot of physical stress because he was big into partying and used drugs during his partying that went on for 3 days at a time without getting much sleep if any at all. This same person was also in a lot of stress mentally, he found out his job was in jeopardy.  He did not notice what was happening to his hair except when he came to me I noticed and pointed it out to him. He had two spots the size of a nickle on his scalp that were completely bald. He eventually got a job and they went away, I don't know if he stopped his partying but my opinion is that he did not stop.
The rest of other clients of mine that had Alopecia were all under mental stress and for some it just disappeared when the stress was gone and for a friend of mine that has a very stressful job he got cortisone shot but it did not change at all yet for another client of mine when his stress was gone and Alopecia did not seem to go away he got some cortisone shots it completely disappeared. Who gets Alopicia?

Alopicia can happen to anybody at any age.Seems stress is the number one reason for this problem.Mental stress is highly to blame but physical stress like too much partying, drugs, little sleep and bad nutrition can also be a cause for a break out
If you are a teen and are affected by alopicia it's important to hear about others in the same predicament as oneself.(www.naaf.org) This organization has a lot of information about Alopicia.
